He has been selected as an NBA All-Star five times, made the All-NBA Team thrice (three times making the first team), and was voted the NBA’s Most Valuable Player in both the 2020–21 and 2021–22 seasons.

    In 2016, he competed for and won silver with the Serbian national team at the Summer Olympics. A member of the Nuggets’ 2014 NBA draft class, Joki was given the moniker “The Joker” due to his unconventional playing style.

    In 2016, he was selected for the NBA’s All-Rookie Team. His first All-Star and All-NBA First Team honors came in the 2018–19 NBA season, as he helped lead the Nuggets to the Western Conference Semifinals.
